Elan Goldwaser is a sports medicine specialist at Columbia University Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.  He treats athletes of all types and ages.  His focus is on rapid, in-office relief of pain and injury.  He utilizes innovative minimally invasive techniques, such as ultrasound-guided interventional procedures, including the use of OrthoBiologic treatments.  Dr. Goldwaser is a 2013 graduate of Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, and frequently utilizes manual therapy (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine) as an additional tool for fast relief of acute pains and aches.  He completed his residency in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment at Rowan University in 2016, and then completed his sports medicine fellowship at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA in 2017.  He has covered a wide variety of sports that span the gamut from elementary school to Olympic levels. 

He currently serves as Head Team Physician for Fordham University, and team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team, New York City FC MLS soccer team, Mercy College, Manhattan College, and as Ringside Physician for the New York State Athletic Commission.  He is a concussion consultant for various schools in New York and Westchester Counties, including The Hackley School.  Additionally, he is also a reviewer for the British Journal of Sports Medicine. 

Medicine aside, Dr. Goldwaser is an athlete himself, having recently completed several outdoor and indoor marathons.  He ran and swam collegiately, and is passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle.
