Erkan Buyuk, MD, is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at RMA of New York. Dr. Buyuk has demonstrated a sustained commitment to both patient care and research. He has authored over 100 abstracts and peer-reviewed publications focusing on a variety of reproductive health topics, including the role of hormones in ovarian reserve and aging and the effect of obesity and diet on ovarian function. Dr. Buyuk’s scientific contributions have received several awards, including the Society for Reproductive Investigation/Bayer Award in 2018 and the Prize Paper at the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society Annual Meeting in 2019. He was also part of the team that pioneered the ovarian tissue freezing and transplantation and published the creation of the first embryo in the world following ovarian tissue freezing and autotransplantation.
