John S. Kung, MD is a board-certified specialist who dedicates himself to complex eye problems and surgery. He has been named to the New York Super Doctors list for 2024 and has been for the past 16 years. He completed his residency and chief residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and received additional subspecialty training in cornea/ refractive surgery and retinal diseases. Dr. Kung designed glaucoma implants and surgical tools being used worldwide. He was the first to pioneer the Light Adjustable Lens in NY & NJ which allows the surgeon to customize your vision after the surgery. He also teaches other eye surgeons on cataract surgery skills at national ophthalmology conferences.
