Dr. Stella Douros, a board-certified ophthalmologist, specializes in medical/surgical treatments of vitreoretinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Fellowship-trained at the Joslin Diabetes Center of Harvard Medical School, she has been in practice since 1996. Dr. Douros is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Douros is Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate and Clinical Instructor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She has participated in multicenter trials of new macular degeneration treatments. She is affiliated with the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, New York Community Hospital and SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
