We have been delivering comprehensive, individualized spine care to Texas Back Institute patients for nearly half a century, but what excites us most is being at the forefront of yet another new era in medicine. As one of the world’s largest multidisciplinary academic spine centers, we are wellequipped to lead the way. Here’s how.
INNOVATION Our physicians embrace the most contemporary approaches to spine treatment, from the smallest (microsurgery) to the largest (scoliosis and spine tumor management). We have pioneered techniques including robotic spinal surgery and disc replacements, which preserve motion. We are one of few practices in this area to offer ultra-minimally invasive surgery for such conditions as spinal stenosis and herniated discs, in which incisions as tiny as a quarter of an inch help avoid tissue disruption and shorten recovery times.
GROWTH We attract the best physicians from around the country, adding staff as necessary to our current and expanding clinic locations in Alliance, Central Plano, Dallas, Denton, Flower Mound, Fort Worth, Frisco, Irving, Lewisville, Mansfield, McKinney, Plano, Rockwall, Texoma and Wichita Falls. Through our fellowship program and frequent Neuroscience Conferences, we are known nationally and internationally for training tomorrow’s surgeons and introducing groundbreaking research and new techniques.
COLLABORATION The ability to offer extensive expertise in treating the entire spine, including complex brain problems, sets us apart. Our physicians work together as a team that spans generations and specialties, including neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons, and specialists in physical medicine and rehabilitation, psychology, and behavioral medicine.
DEDICATION We seek the optimal treatment plan for each and every patient, using conservative treatment whenever possible to restore function and comfort. Only 12% of our patients require surgical intervention, and when they do, our surgeons strive to achieve the best possible results. Restoring quality of life is our primary goal.
