Dr. Rene I Luna is a Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and has a second Board Certificate in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery. Dr. Luna has practiced in South Texas since 2015, with offices in McAllen and Brownsville. Dr. Luna has a passion for minimally invasive gynecologic robotic surgery and is nationally recognized in its practice. Dr. Luna has been honored to be selected to Texas Super Doctors® the last five years and has been recognized as a “Top Doctor in America” by several agencies. Dr. Luna serves as the Robotic Director at the SRC Robotic Center of Excellence–recognized DHR Health Women’s Hospital that leads the South Texas area in minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery. There, Dr. Luna operates at a high volume and is one of the most experienced MIGS surgeons in South Texas. He is recognized as a SRC Surgeon of Excellence in both Robotics and Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery and qualifies as a Master Surgeon by the SRC.
